Description
MOEGI is a reserved, subtle green with deep historical roots, used in Japan since the Heian Period (794–1192). Traditionally featured in Kabuki Theatre as one of the three colors of the final closing curtain, this pigment carries a timeless and refined presence.
Its muted green tone makes it especially versatile, working beautifully as a base color for dragons, Fujin, and oni, as well as for samurai kimono and the leaves of kiku (chrysanthemum) and botan (peony). MOEGI delivers understated elegance while maintaining strong cultural authenticity—perfect for traditional Japanese tattoo work.
All Solid Ink Horitomo Series pigments are vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the USA, offering smooth flow, reliable saturation, and balanced healed results.
