TIM A4 Thermal copier

TIM, the Thermal Imaging Machine, improves on the now-discontinued, reliable German-manufactured Panenka A4. With over 15 years of experience behind it, all-new technical and mechanical features elevate TIM into a new league of professional studio products designed for daily, long-term usage with high stencil demands.

TIM uses a more compact footprint for studio use, with strong, reliable solid metal construction and a long-lasting powder-coated finish for rugged daily use over years. Internals are all upgraded to more efficient components, with a stronger stepped motor providing a wider range of machine speeds, both slower and faster than the Panenka models, using the latest-generation PCB construction, efficient control software, and a power-saving lamp. A new reflector coating resists dust and debris damage, and a new rear drive roller coating makes for easier cleaning with longer life.

Wider range of imaging speeds. You can now use most stencil brands, though Spirit works best, with a wider range of artwork types available at much faster speeds (no over-burning). Panenka speed 10 equals roughly TIM speed 6, so there's plenty more speed available to reduce background over-burning when your Spirit paper "goes off" from heat.

New dual-direction cooling design. A side-mounted fan with a built-in dust filter directs airflow along the reflector and lamp to cool the hottest area directly, combined with a larger front-mounted internal fan for front-to-back airflow that expels heat faster. This means faster operation after heavy use, lower power consumption, longer lamp life, and a shorter cool-down time.
