Refund policy

At Melbourne Tattoo Supplies, we want you to be confident in your purchase. If you experience an issue with a product, we're here to help.

This policy explains our returns, warranty and refund process. It does not affect any rights you may have under Australian Consumer Law.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or does not perform as expected, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help resolve the issue.

Due to the nature of the products we sell, Melbourne Tattoo Supplies does not offer refunds, exchanges or store credit for change of mind purchases.

In exceptional circumstances, Melbourne Tattoo Supplies may, at its sole discretion, offer a store credit as a goodwill gesture. This does not create an obligation to accept future change of mind returns.

To protect the health and safety of our customers, we cannot accept returns on products that cannot be safely resold due to hygiene or contamination risks.

This includes (but is not limited to):

Used tattoo machines or equipment that have been used in a tattooing environment cannot be returned for change of mind.

If a product is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, please contact us so we can assess the issue.

If you believe your product is faulty or has developed a warranty issue, please contact us before returning the item.

Many issues can be resolved through troubleshooting, and where necessary we will work with you and the manufacturer to determine the best solution.

Before a warranty claim can be assessed, you will be required to complete our Faulty Product Form and provide proof of purchase.

Depending on the manufacturer and product, your claim may be:

Warranty periods vary between manufacturers.

Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, modifications, unauthorised repairs, improper maintenance, normal wear and tear or use outside the manufacturer's recommendations.

Returned products may require inspection and testing before a repair, replacement or refund can be approved.

If no fault is found, or the issue falls outside the manufacturer's warranty, the customer may be responsible for the cost of returning the item.

Melbourne Tattoo Supplies reserves the right to have products inspected by the manufacturer or an authorised repair agent before determining the outcome of a claim.

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution.

We replace products that have been confirmed as faulty, damaged in transit or incorrectly supplied after inspection. 

If you believe your item qualifies, please contact us before returning the product and complete our Faulty Product Form.

Customers are responsible for ensuring returned products are packaged securely to prevent damage during transit.

For returns valued over $75, we strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service and/or purchasing shipping insurance. Melbourne Tattoo Supplies cannot accept responsibility for returned items that are lost, damaged or do not arrive during return transit.

the customer will have the following options once the parcel has been received by us.

The customer may pay the applicable shipping charges to have the parcel resent.

If the customer chooses not to have the parcel resent, we will refund the purchase price of the returned products only.
